When I first heard of the product "Carlinkit 4.0", I didn't think that plugging my iPhone into my car's USB port to use Apple's CarPlay was a problem until I found that wireless dongle which made my trip more entertaining. Eventually, I bought one and found some problems from it, but the process I solved the problems kept me thinking that how nice it would be to get in my car and starting using Carplay without plugging it into my car's USB port always.
Before I used it, I have never heard of the company "Carlinkit 4.0" , so I was also a little wary of whether it would work. But to my delight, it works for me when I learn to diagnose the slight problems from it. Actually, most problems from Carlinkit 4.0 can be found in FAQ of our website, as long as you follow the below instructions , you may tackle most of problems easily.
When I initially used this product Carlinkit 4.0, I found my car didn't have wifi, but I found my adapter was with WiFi and bluetooth. So my CarPlay transferred data via WiFi instead of Bluetooth. When Carplay was with the device through Bluetooth and learns the existence of the device, it will disconnect the Bluetooth connection with the device. Since then, Carplay does all data transfer via WiFi.
I also have two phones, iphone and Android phone, at the beginning, I was wondering which one I should use, but soon I found that when I use them both, the adapter will connect to the last paired phone.
I guess you have the trouble of dongle disconnection once in a while, when you use the wired Carplay and found it dropped, actually, it means that it was disconnected between mobile phone and box.
I strongly suggest that the data cable used is original or MFI certified data line( emphasis), then you can enter the settings, choose the advanced settings and charging mode, later you would set to weak, which means that you turn off the phone charging.
It's important to note that the disconnection between Carlinkit 4.0 and car is often disconnected, so how to solve this problem?
When I first check whether the car machine has a USB protocol version, I eventually found it did, so I finally choose 2.0. Before long, I check the car extension cable,there is no transfer in the middle, and I found USB cable can't use HUB and wire length which can't exceed 80CM , if you follow this, you would solve the problems easily.
